Tree to Bar Chocolate

We’re a small, family-run, craft chocolate business located on Hawaiʻi Island in the Puna District. Orchid Isle Chocolate is owned and operated by Joel and Kim, a husband-and-wife team.

We started making chocolate at home in 2021. After some trial and error, we fell in love with the chocolate we were making—and with sharing it with friends and neighbors.

With encouragement from people who tried our bars and kept coming back for more, we decided to make our chocolate available beyond our friends and neighborhood.

We’re a tree-to-bar, small-batch craft chocolate maker. Here’s what that means:

· Tree-to-bar: Cacao is grown on our property and in our neighborhood

· Crafted in small batches, by hand

· Simple ingredients—no extra fillers

· We harvest and process cacao, then craft each bar
